Art and Activism Caravan (2006)

The Art and Activism Caravan was a border crossing project aimed at supporting youth, campaign, community and activist groups, their actions and campaigns with creative forms of activism. Participants shared skills in the field of video, creative writing, music and dance, sculpturing, street performance, drawing and painting, samba and screen printing.

Notts Indymedia (2005 - ongoing)

The Nottinghamshire Independent Media Centre (IMC) is a collective of independent community groups and individuals committed to offering grassroots and local non-corporate news coverage. Aimed at generating a fresh perspective on mainstream media-twisted stories, it gives a voice to individuals and communities throughout Nottinghamshire that are marginalised and have no real say in the mainstream media. The project runs an open-publishing website and a community radio project.

Riseup! Radio (2008)

Riseup Radio is a community radio project aimed at broadcasting reports on events that didn't make other (local) news, music from local artists and bands and discussions and debates about stuff that matters. The project produces a variety of shows which are broadcasted online.

Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (2008 - ongoing)

Established in 1977, Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (SSCS) is an international non-profit, marine wildlife conservation organization. Its mission is to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the world's oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and species. Sea Shepherd uses innovative direct-action tactics to investigate, document, and take action when necessary to expose and confront illegal activities on the high seas.

Shakedown*05 (2004 -2005)

Shakedown*05 was a very big one-off all-night fundraising event in Nottingham, UK. It was aimed at raising awareness of global issues as world poverty, climate change and world leading institutions such as the World Bank, IMF and the G8 among people in a positive way. It also raised a substantial sum for the anti-G8 mobilisation in Scotland in 2005.

The Mischief Makers (2004 - 2007)

The Mischief Makers is a creative activist collective from Nottingham (UK) who are working to make positive change through creative action. The group is a diverse mix of artists and activists with backgrounds ranging from theatre design, street theatre, costume, puppet and banner making to video, press, print and other media work. The collective supports the work of many activist groups in creative ways as well as running their own actions and campaigns.

UK Indymedia (2005 - ongoing)

As the big brother of Notts Indymedia, UK Indymedia focuses on national and international stories that are surpressed from the mainstream channels. As a network of individuals, independent and alternative media activists and organisations, it offers grassroots, non-corporate and non-commercial coverage of important social and political issues.
